LOOK OUT BELOW !!!!
And so another dive starts, although most of my dives have taken place in the sea, and some of them have been some very deep dives, especially if we have been wreck diving, the fact remains that for sea life, and for finding general items, the best dives are always close to shore, and in only about 30ft of water, or less in fact !! the only problem being close to shore is that the "wave" action is always so much stronger, and therefore more work to keep in one place, I have been diving with some people that have in fact felt rather "sick" ?? because with all the sea weed moving so much, and not having a fixed object to focus on, nausea soon takes over, so they have to go through the weed onto the sea bed just so that they can settle down again, but if "real" life is what you want to see, then I would strongly recommend a night dive, given that ALL precautions are taken, everyone has a spare torch, boat cover is on hand, a fog horn to tell all divers to come up, and very strict rules that are adhered to, then it can be one of the most exciting dives to be had, and the marine life in the torch light is something to behold ?? but if you dont live near to the sea, then have a lake dive, it is amazing what can be found in lakes and gravel pits, I used to go to a lake with some friends of mine fairly regular, apart from giving all the kit a good wash in fresh water, it can be very rewarding as well !! in the photo below, you will see that the lake does not have to be "clear" round the edges for something to be in it ?? as what you can see, is like that round the whole lake, But, over a period of two months, we pulled out of that lake...... a safe that was still locked, 44 handbags that had been stolen, although the money had been taken out, all the credit cards and things were still in them, and remember, you get £50 per card for handing it in, a word of warning though ???? when you take them to the police station, make sure you get the numbers of all the cards, and what cards they are, the first three cards we handed into the police, were sent back to the companies and we got nothing !!!! the police would not give us the card numbers, and the companies would not give us the reward without the numbers, so that was £150 we lost, on all the other cards we found, we made it a point of taking all the details down, and then phoning the companies first, to say that we had them, and then that we were taking them to the police station, we also informed the police what we had done so there would be no misunderstanding.

THE HANDBAG LAKE ??
I bet all you "modern" divers reading this are having a good laugh at the ancient equipment ?? bulky old "Fenzy's" no computers, no Christmas tree bits hanging off everything, and even "wet suits" that you get cold in !!! heaven forbid, Ha. Ha. I must admit though, I was looking at some of the modern diving gear the other day, and its most certainly "flash stuff" one of my sons, Paul has just done the "Paddy" course as he has now decided that he likes the diving game, but I am sorry to say that Paul is a modern diver, by modern I mean he only like to dive in exotic far flung places, where the water is like "Gin" and you only need a pair of shorts to dive, PLUS an underwater rocket to outrun the SHARKS !!!! No, I think I will stay cold and in one piece ?
