Caution Before you change your diet you should talk to your Doctor and seek his / her advise, especially if you have another type of illness, removing the things from my diet as listed below have help me to overcome my Illness, and I offer them to you as a suggestion only, I in no way can be held responsible for any affects that may arise from the use of my suggestions, and you are asked NOT to try them, if you have any doubts whatsoever as to the benefit of them.

Below are the main things that I found have the greatest effect on my well being, over the years I have proved on many occasions that just a "spoon full" of something, like Yoghurt for instance, could and would set me back for weeks on end, so I now avoid the No, No, foods like the plague, and it works, at least it works for me, and  I know it has worked for others as well, so here is the list...........

YOGHURT

WHEAT

BROWN RICE

BRAN

EGGS

CHEESE

ALCOHOL

COFFEE

SUGAR

ARTIFICIAL COLOURINGS

MONO SODIUM GLUTAMATE

PORK

NUTS IN SHELLS

DRIED FRUIT

MARMITE

VINEGAR

FIZZY DRINKS

YEAST OR ANYTHING THAT USES IT

There are other things that can effect me in small ways, but I thought I would try and keep to the main items that I know will put me on my back for weeks on end, but by eliminating the above from my eating habits, I have gone from strength to strength, looking at the above may not seem to be a very big list ? even something like a packet of crisps I have to think about, if I have plain crisps then that is fine, but I cannot have salt and vinegar, or the cheese and onion type, so you see it is not as easy as it looks, another thing that always sticks in my mind is the day that I told my Doctor about Yoghurt and how it affects me, the response I got from him was that he laughed at me and said not to be so silly !!!! but who is the silly one now I ask myself ? I know it affected me so I did not have it, if I had listened to him then I may well still have the complaint, some other things I have found is that you should eat all fresh fruit and vegetables and try not to eat processed food, canned food, and anything that has been smoked or cured, and it is very important to keep well away from anything that has yeast in it, on it, or around it, I know that reading the above seems more like a food allergy problem than M.E. but who is to say that the rubbish that is thrown at us today in our food, is not all interlinked with the very core of M.E. ?? all I can say to you, is try it for a few months, and be very strict with it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the results you start to get, you will also be amazed that once you start to feel a little better, if you have a lapse and eat something on the No No list, just how much it will set you back, but it will also be further proof, if you need it ? that the list above is to be avoided at all costs.

VERY IMPORTANT

ALTHOUGH IT CAN BE  TIRESOME AT TIMES, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP A DIARY OF WHAT YOU EAT, AND HOW YOU FEEL THE NEXT DAY, YOU WILL FIND THAT OVER A PERIOD, A PATTERN BEGINS TO FORM, AND THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO SEE JUST WHAT EFFECTS CERTAIN FOODS HAVE ON YOU, AND WHAT TO AVOID EATING, IT TOOK ME SIX YEARS TO BUILD THE LIST ABOVE, BUT I PASS THEM ON TO YOU SO THAT HOPEFULLY YOUR TIME FACTOR WILL BE MUCH SHORTER.

I wish you all the strength to fight your pain, and pray for you that it will not be long before you are on the road to recovery

                            Best Wishes From
